Results can be found here. An excellent “drifter” was held at Leigh and Lowton SC for the first open of the Phantom Travellers Northern Series 2013. There was a good entry of 13 boats, despite the poor weather forecast, with sailors travelling from Plymouth and London. The racing was more like “lucky dip” with the wind swinging around, but somehow the top guys got all the luck! At one point in race three, all five home boats were in positions...
5 brave Topper sailors put the adults to shame in the RNLI trophy day at Leigh & Lowton. As 25-35 knot winds came down the flash with real feel of -5C in the air the toppers were held down by parents as they rigged! Only 2 were to survive the full course with racing shortened down to one 30 minute race. With Emma knocked down as she left the shore and Haydn and James succumbing to the conditions, it was...

This shows what change in each class handicap would be needed for their average corrected times to all be the same. Poor performers (outside 20%) are automatically excluded before class handicaps are...

To pull the data together the “sailed to PY” has been averaged to give each Crew there average PY for the Winter Series. Crews which done 8 races or more over the winter are shown below Asymmetric Fleet The...
Paul Plested’s RS400 Pics & RS200 Pics. Mike Baldwins Pics. Results What a great weekend we have all had at the open meetings. Light and testing winds both Saturday and Sunday. 16 RS200’s and 15 RS400’s competed, from all over the country. Furthest travelled was Russell and June Collister from the Isle of Man and James and Anne Gardner form Hayling Island. Entries also from Notts County and Scaling Dam. Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come along. The sailing finished after the...
Results There was no shortage of wind for the final weekend of the GJW Direct Insurance (GJW) sponsored Tipsy Icicle Winter Series but due to the strong wind there was a shortage of competitors as many voted to stay ashore and watch the fun and games unfold. As the sailors arrived they were greeted by a very cold easterly Force 5 wind gusting 6 with a very high wind chill factor. The first race went ahead on time but with...
