Duty Rota 2013

Screen Shot 2013-04-03 at 20.12.00The 2013 Rota can be viewed here. It is a condition of membership that members carry out a number of duties (usually not more than 3 per year) as either OOD, or rescue assistant on the appointed day(s) as set out in the duty rota (bylaw viii). Students will be listed for OD and assistant rescue duties but no juniors under the age of 14.

Any member can receive help and guidance with their duties if required. Kindly note that it is your responsibility to organise a swap of duties in the event that you are unable to attend. Please do not contact a committee member and expect a replacement to be found. Racing could be forced to be cancelled or life put at risk if you do not attend or find a suitable replacement.

Race Officers: The Race Officers are responsible for Club racing. Race officers for open and club racing must work together to ensure courses for both events do not interfere with each other.

Assistant Race Officers: Assistant race officer support the race Officer to log boat times and prepare race results. It is an ideal way to become familiar with the systems and methods used to run club racing.

Safety Assistants: Are responsible for assisting on rescue duties always following the directions of the duty Coxswain. Rescue Assistant must be prepared to enter the water if necessary.
