Day 1 A dry and gusty day on Pennington Flash at Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club for the RYA Volvo West Zone Championships, average wind speed between 15 – 16 knots with gusts of 23-25 knots throughout the day, with the safety fleet kept busy with several capsizes throughout the day.
Henry Wright from the RYA will be running the RYA’s Club Race Officer course at the club on Saturday 24th November 2012, starting at 2.00pm prompt. (Approximate length of course 3 hours.) Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club hosted the penultimate round of this increasingly popular series on a stormy Tuesday 18th September. Results Saturday Sunday Over the weekend of 14th/15th July a total of 64 boats from various clubs attended this years Olympic themed regatta at Leigh and Lowton sailing club at Pennington Flash.
