A message from our Sailing Manager

To all powerboat coxes, following the recent incident in Padstow and the amount of damage currently impacting the club boats we are running additional sessions of the one-minute rescue to remind us all of our duties and responsibilities in running the rescue boats at the club. There were 28 boats in total in the three fleets which sailed at Pennington Flash on Saturday. The sailing was close across all fleets with the results of the Handicap fleet being decided on discards. The 2013 Rota can be viewed here. It is a condition of membership that members carry out a number of duties (usually not more than 3 per year) as either OOD, or rescue assistant on the appointed day(s) as set out in the duty rota (bylaw viii). Phantom Open Meeting – Richard Catchpole wins with two first places
