Leigh & Lowton SC played host to the last of the North West Traveller Series for 2014 on Saturday 20th September.  The event was held in tough conditions for the young competitors searching for zone squad places.  The wind was fickle and shifting for the first two races and then came good for the last one, the competitors dealt well with the light winds and changing courses through the day as the OOD adapted his plans to the conditions. Congratulations from all at Leigh & Lowton SC to Hannah & Graeme Bristow on an amazing 4th place overall in a highly competitive 51 strong fleet at the RS500 world championships in Loctudy, Brittany, France. Today eight new junior sailors joined normal Saturday racing for their first ever official taste of club racing in the OpTop Olympics which was run along with Saturday Racing.
