LLSC Juniors cleaned up again in the first open meeting after their largest training camp ever in the North West. With 50 children on the LLSC Summer 2014 Camp it was always going to be a tough job for the instructors. The challenge was made all the more harder on day 1 with an Easterly 15 knots wind 15 gusting 25 blowing straight down the Flash. The 2014 LLSC Junior Travellers will be remembered by all for the glorious sunshine and favorable wind. A westerly F2/3 allowed the Race Officer Mike Baldwin to set a simple trapezoid course with a beat up most of the length of Pennington Flash with a wing mark near the club house for a good view by the spectators. The most popular dinghy winter series in the UK, the ‘Crewsaver’ sponsored Tipsy Icicle series at Leigh & Lowton sailing club, recommenced on the 12th January with another fantastic turnout for races 3 & 4 in the series.
