1. Rules

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing

2. Fees

Entry fees are:
Double Hander online entry £85 for series, cash entry per day £18 Single Hander online entry £55 for series, cash entry per day £12
Junior Double Hander online entry £55 for series, cash entry per day £12 Junior Single Hander online entry £40 for series, cash entry per day £9 Online entry at http://webcollect.org.uk/llsc

3. Schedule

Registration: from 10.00. Briefing: 11.15
Warning signal for first race scheduled at 11:55am, race 2 to follow.

4. Sailing Instructions

Copies of Sailing Instructions will be displayed at registration and online.

6. Courses

The courses to be sailed will be described in the sailing instructions.

7. Scoring

Fleets will be split as follows for racing and prizes: Laser, Handicap, Solo, Asymmetric, Junior

3 races are required to constitute a series
When 4 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her best race scores from half the number of races sailed (rounded down) plus 1. For the junior fleet, due to squad training restrictions, the number of races to count will be one less than for the other fleets.

8. Insurance

Each participating boat will be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of at least £3,000,000.

9. Disclaimer of Liability

The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/person in charge who must ensure that the boat and the crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of the race. Neither these sailing instructions nor any inspection of the boat limits or reduces the absolute responsibility of the owner/person in charge for the crew, the boat and her management. The race organisers, who are the Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club, and Race Committee shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the owner/person in charge or crew as a result of their taking part in the race or races. Moreover, every owner/person in charge warrants the suitability of the boat for the race or races.
