To all members,
We are ready to announce the members training programme for 2014, run by the club members for the club members.  The following events are now ready to book on webcollect from the link below.  Most of the courses are free of charge with the membership, for others there is a nominal charge to cover log books, fuel, coaches (where external coaches are used).
Assistant Instructor Course – a fully certified assistant instructor course will be held on Saturday 29th April to allow parents and youth instructors the chance to become qualified RYA assistant instructors.  This helps massively with the training programmes we run through the summer – please help if you can.  Book through webcollect.
Adult Sailing Training – a course designed to take adults from scratch to RYA Level 1&2 in a 3 week programme running on Friday night/Saturdays from 11th April.  See our online calendar or webcollect for full details on dates and timing.
This is followed by improvers sessions from May 10th which aims on a combination of Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesday to continue the learning phase through to racing later in the season.  Adults who did the RYA 1&2 either last autumn or plan to do the sessions in April will benefit massively from these sessions and be able to meet likeminded learner sailors and share experiences and a beer!!  These are drop in sessions with coach/supervision on hand and are free of charge.
Junior Friday Nights – many people have already booked on these courses who expressed an interest last year.  The courses range from absolute beginners through to regional zone squad and national squad with some of our excellent youths now coaching the youngsters.  These are free of charge excepting boat hire for club boats – numbers are limited by boats and instructors so book early.
Junior/Youth Camps – our every popular 3-day camps have been open for booking for some time.  There are number limitations for beginner and intermediate groups so book early to avoid disappointment!  May half term and August are the times for these, book through webcollect.
Many thanks and have a great sailing season.
