Tipsy Results On the 29th January 2012 the UK’s biggest winter series, Leigh & Lowton’s Tipsy Icicle continued with its run of 11 weeks. Fleets consisted of Asymmetric, Handicap, Solos and Lasers. Pennington Flash – History

A Flash is a water-filled hollow formed by subsidence. Pennington Flash is on land that was prone to flooding from Hey Brook and Westleigh Brook in an area where there was subsidence from the local coal mines. The Brooks flooded every few years, usually in Spring. Before the Flash became permanent the land was used for farming. Tipsy Results On the 22nd January 2012 the UK’s biggest winter series, Leigh & Lowton’s Tipsy Icicle continued with its run of 11 weeks.  Fleets consist of Asymmetric, Handicap, Solos and Lasers.  So far after 3 weeks of the series we have already had 95 boats on the water.  The galley was open all day and the bar was serving cold beer from 3pm.
