LLSC get Fibre Optic Internet Connection

Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club took have just made a techy improvement for members and visitors by installing a fibre optic broadband. The new connection is more than 30 times quicker, considerably more reliable and costs less money. New wireless equipment allows over 20 users to connect simultaneously. Some members are reporting they can now access the signal from the OOD box. The network name is LLSC and there is no password at the time of writing.

Solo Open Results & Pics

Once again Leigh & Lowton juniors show how it should be done.

National Intermediate squaddy Lucy Mearns blitzed the whole entry at weekend to take first place at the National Series event in Pwllheli this weekend. From the first race Lucy’s intentions were obvious. In  8 to 18 knotts her determination to lead the fleet was outstanding. 2013 Younique Topper Traveller report & results

The Final Younique North West Topper Traveller 2013 and RYA West Zone squad selection event took place at Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club. The event saw 47 competitors all competing in the final event of the series, but the wind failed to cooperate with racing in 1-5 knots from the East round to SW by the end of the day. Despite this, and after a lot of patience from the race committee and competitors alike, all 3 races were sailed....

Record numbers at L&L summer camp!!

Over 40 kids/youths took part in the Summer Camp at the end of August.  Beginners, intermediates and advanced alike were put through their paces by a number of our top coaches.  Many thanks to Dave Eccles, Jamie Catchpole, Chris Barnes, Adam Millington and Tom Leckie along with all their band if merry helpers!!  Looking forward to next year already!
