With 50 children on the LLSC Summer 2014 Camp it was always going to be a tough job for the instructors. The challenge was made all the more harder on day 1 with an Easterly 15 knots wind 15 gusting 25 blowing straight down the Flash. The great news is that all the children got out on the water and most enjoyed it. There were a few capsizes and the four rescue boats were pressed into service. Emptyish dinghy park....

The weekend of the 12th and 13th July saw Leigh & Lowton sailing club play host to a total of 68 boats as the Miracle inland championships and the North West junior Optimist championships were run alongside the clubs annual regatta weekend. I have received the sad News that Carl Humphries passed away on Wednesday evening 9/7/14. Carl had been fighting Cancer for almost 18 months. For those that didn’t have the pleasure of knowing him.
