2016 Yearbook and boat stickers now available

The latest yearbook and your 2016 boat berth sticker(s) are available for collection at the club. Come along to collect them, and display them as soon as possible. Remember – Boat stickers need to be placed on your boat so that they are visible even when your cover is on. If not visible there is a risk that your boat will be moved, and you will lose that berth, when the next working party is in action when we tidy...

Team Racing Competition

Budworth Sailing Club is re-introducing its  two-boat team-racing competition and has invited LLSC to send a team to the event which will take place over the last weekend of November. The event will be open to 12 teams of four sailors with experienced on-water umpires. The entry fee is £180 per team which includes lunches and dinner on the Saturday evening. Sailing at LLSC The Final Reckoning

Nine optimist sailors braved the rain and cold at Leigh and Lowton sailing club for the second IOCA winter training session. Chris Barnes was the RYA qualified instructor. LLSC Club Prizegiving – Harry Budd & Roger Taylor remembered

The LLSC prizegiving was no ordinary affair this year with 2 new trophies on display commemorating two of the founders of the combined Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club.  Harry Budd and Roger Taylor were the main driving forces behind the merger of the separate clubs of Leigh Sailing Club and Lowton Sailing Club.  It seems unbelievable now that these 2 clubs shared the same stretch of water with their clubhouses only a couple of hundred yards apart (with Manchester University playing...
