The Wednesday night “B” series runs for 4 weeks 15th June, 22 June, 29th June and 6th July, with 2 of the 4 races to count. In addition to the normal individual results, there will be team results, as a bit of fun. Optimists Fleet A fleet of 240 sailors entered the Optimists Braassemermeer Regatta in The Nederland’s. Alan Williams was the lead GBR coach supported by three more coaches. There were other ribs on hand to support Development Squad and other GB sailors. Alan Williams had briefed sailors and parents not to allow activities which might lead to injury. The fourth and final RS Feva Northern open winter training session took place at Ullswater Yacht club on 25 & 26 March with a total 32 RS Feva sailors attending for a fantastic first day training on Good Friday in one of the most spectacular sailing settings in the lake district. Nine optimist sailors braved the rain and cold at Leigh and Lowton sailing club for the second IOCA winter training session. Chris Barnes was the RYA qualified instructor.
