Incidents of theft from boats and items on trailers

It has been bought to the committees attention that recently there have been several incidents of theft from boats and items on trailers while unattended in the dinghy park.  All incidents have been reported to the police. This is a reminder to all members and visitors that all equipment left in/on boats and in/on trailers may not be covered by your respective insurance policy. Wayne Atherton wins Miracle Northern Championship

The two day Miracle Northern Championships held at Delph Sailing Club near Bolton saw a return to form of Wayne Atherton sailing in a new partnership with experienced Miracle crew Angela Sweeney. The pair managed to win the event by sailing just the three races on the Sunday of the two-day event. There were 28 boats in total in the three fleets which sailed at Pennington Flash on Saturday. The sailing was close across all fleets with the results of the Handicap fleet being decided on discards. Leigh and Lowton Topper sailors return great results in the VR Virtual Rigger Topper Winter Regatta

Most of the Topper fleet sailing in the Winter series braved the weather and the journey to Weymouth last weekend. With 7 sailors finishing in the top 31 in a fleet of 153.
