Would your business benefit from an advert in the year book? The club has over 400 members in 220 memberships. The 2012 year book will be a bumper A5 version. 250 year books will be printed, with one posted to each members household. We are keen to raise revenue to cover print costs and hoped members would support the club in buying a half page advert for £25? This year LLSC have submitted their annual RYA PY return via the PYS website and below are the results. The PYS website uses a methodology based around Bench Marking to calculate the suggested handicaps. The big fleets like RS400, Solo, Laser are unlikely to move as they are set as the bench mark therefore the other fleets will move around them. Gill Kenyon will be running a winter safety workshop on Wednesday 14th December. Aim: To examine the 3 stages of hypothermia and how sailors can recognise and deal with it’s effects.Objective: Sailing crews and rescue personnel will be able to differentiate between potentially life threatening and less serious but performance degrading changes to body temperature. Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club’s Open Revett Winter Series concluded this weekend on Sunday the 11th December 2011 with 99 boats having competed at some stage of the series.  The forecast originally looked promising on Sunday but in the end never actually arrived resulting in a long tea drinking day with both races of the day being canned.  So how did it finish in the end?
