The Tera Northern Series took place over 7 weekends this summer at venues as varied as Leigh & Lowton, Derwent and even the Isle of Man. John Bridgeman clinched the RS Tera Sport Series Trophy after winning the last 2 events, finishing in great style. Tom Pritchard-Jones and Freddie Wood also competed well across the series, finishing 4th and 5th respectively. Following a very difficult day for the Race Officer and the event management team on Saturday, it was decided the trickle of a breeze was insufficient to run the event. The build up to the event had been a little stressful with the juniors training to use symmetrical kites and genoas on the GP14s on Friday nights under the tuition of Julia, Lewis, Richard and John. A weekend of family fun and entertainment! The wind gods had decreed that this was going to be no sunshine-fest but the weather held out enough to allow glimpses of sunshine amongst the showers and fine Saturday night.
