The Final Showdown – Tipsy Icicle (and upcoming events)

The forecast is looking great for the final showdown weekend of the Tipsy Icicle Series.  With many of the places throughout the fleets still to be decided there’s sure to be a big turnout this weekend.  80 boats made it to the start line last week and enjoyed excellent racing in 10-18 knots from the North West, with the Asymmetrics being let off the leash on windward-leeward courses! Topper Open tests competitors to the full

Leigh & Lowton SC played host to the last of the North West Traveller Series for 2014 on Saturday 20th September.  The event was held in tough conditions for the young competitors searching for zone squad places.  The wind was fickle and shifting for the first two races and then came good for the last one, the competitors dealt well with the light winds and changing courses through the day as the OOD adapted his plans to the conditions. RS Tera Northerns in Sunshine at Leigh
