The LLSC prizegiving was no ordinary affair this year with 2 new trophies on display commemorating two of the founders of the combined Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club. After Doomsday predictions from the weathermen, sailors arrived for the rescheduled (due to no wind) Guy Fawkes Pursuit race with a little trepidation; the weather clearly put a few off with only a lower than normal 25 turning out. Over 50 Northern Topper and Optimist competitors were welcomed by Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club for the Topper Traveller (doubling up as Zone indicator) and Optimist Zone training.
