Topper Training

There will be Topper Training at Leigh and Lowton during half term- 30th May to 1st June 2017, with Dave Eccles as coach. For more details, and to enter click here You don’t need to be a member of the Topper class association to take part, but you do need a Topper. This will run alongside the club’s Junior Spring Camp  

Tipsy Icicle Series Finale

Another great day at the club for the final weekend of the Tipsy Icicle series. The wind was an average 13 knots for both races with a few bigger (22 knot) gusts and there were 128 boats that entered the series. Berthing Notice

As per the latest berthing procedure, which was posted on this page, on the club website and emailed to all members back in early January, this is a reminder to all members that as from the 1st April any boats on the club grounds not displaying this current years berthing sticker will be removed off the berth they are currently on and moved to what is now being referred to as ‘the graveyard’ You will lose the right to the...

Sprints and Squads

5 29ers enjoyed 10 sprint races today as a national qualifier. Light winds and 12 minute windward/leeward races ensured plenty of position changes and close finishes. 29er Sprint Results The Feva squad training was also popular and made the most of the conditions.

New Year’s Day Pursuit

New Years Day pursuit race chills the bones at Leigh & Lowton SC On a cloudless, sunny but cold day 54 boats took to the water for this years NYD pursuit race. After forecasts ranging from 5 to 20 knots, the two Optimists launched in a 6-10 knot cold Northerly breeze and started the day off at 1240hrs. Art Club & Tarmacing

The club was a hive of activity on Thursday, as the Art Club were in the warm club house and the top car park was being tarmaced. A path has also been added to the boat house.
