MP Jo Platt supports Leigh & Lowton’s RYA “Try Sailing” day
Jo Platt, MP for Leigh, came along to Pennington Flash to check out the RYA Try Sailing day (Push the Boat Out). She arrived to see bright sunshine and the lake full of boats and activity with many of our members and visitors out on the water. Regatta Weekend 2017 – the Tequila Sunrise
After a short postponement for an early lunch due to lack of wind, the early morning drizzle lifted and Saturday racing got underway in a shifting 8 knot SW breeze came in to give a good first days’ racing. Europe & Miracle Open 8/9th July
Saturday 8th July dawned with a disappointing forecast from the wind strength point of view although the predicted direction was ideal for sailing at Leigh and Lowton; straight down the length of the lake.
