Our annual Open Day is on 9th June this year and in the year of the Olympics what better theme could there be than ‘Sail for Gold’ in the Olympic year! John Kelly’s nomination story John became a member of Leigh Sailing Club in 1973 and continued as a member when they amalgamated with Lowton Sailing club to form Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club in 1986. He became a sailing instructor in 1984 and senior instructor in 1988.

Phantom Open Results
Results There were 18 boats at the Leigh and Lowton Phantom Open on 15 April 2012 – which was a great turnout. Phantom racing in the North is growing. The winds were from the north (and east and west!) and about force 2 (and force 1 and force 3!). I think you get the picture! Cool temperatures and sunshine.
