RS300 Inlands

Fifteen boats came to the start line for the RS300 Inland Championship 2012 held at Leigh & Lowton Sailing |Club on the weekend of 20th & 21st October. Despite the forecast for light winds, some of the visitors were well travelled from areas as distant as Portsmouth, Cheddar and Sunderland. RYA Volvo West Zone Championships

Day 1 A dry and gusty day on Pennington Flash at Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club for the RYA Volvo West Zone Championships, average wind speed between 15 – 16 knots with gusts of 23-25 knots throughout the day, with the safety fleet kept busy with several capsizes throughout the day.

Club Race Officer Course 24/11/12

Henry Wright from the RYA will be running the RYA’s Club Race Officer course at the club on Saturday 24th November 2012, starting at 2.00pm prompt. (Approximate length of course 3 hours.) NW Senior Travellers at Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club

Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club hosted the penultimate round of this increasingly popular series on a stormy Tuesday 18th September. A shifty westerly breeze greeted National 12 sailors at Pennington Flash over the bank holiday weekend for the Summer Event, which is part of the National Gill Series.
