Marlow Ropes Show comes to LLSC

Wednesday 30th January saw the Marlow Ropes Show roll into Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club.

Over 40 members and visitors braved the wintery conditions to make the session

Tom, James and Mark (from 1st Mark chandlers) educated the audience on the way modern ropes are designed and the intense development pressures being imposed by modern high tech, higher powered flying machines.

In the workshops, the audience were able to get hands on to experiment with splicing and end-to-ending ropes

Still some practice required to make our techniques perfect!!
