The good news just keeps on rolling in….
A very busy couple of weeks for our juniors as they have travelled to their various class events.
Sian Talbot & Eloise Clapson-McBride and Simon Hall & Emily Haughton represented us in the RS Feva XL class at the RYA Eric Twiname Championships at Rutland SC. In a tough competitive 24 boat fleet Sian & Eloise were 2nd overall and Simon & Emily were 15th.
…
At the same event Bruno Nicolas represented us in the 76 strong Optimist fleet and finished 11th overall.
Lewis Coop was also at Rutland SC for the RYA Laser 4.7 national junior indicator event. After only a few practise sails in the boat and up against some hard competition Lewis finished 18th out of 36 and scored a 4th in the third race. Not bad for a 4.7 beginner. Dad Gary was so pleased he was last seen doing a cycle ride of honour (on Lewiss behalf) all around Rutland but he hasn’t been seen since.
Finally, to Grafham Water SC were the Topper Assn. were hosting their Inland Championships. We were represented in the 151 boat strong 5.3 rig fleet by Lorcan Knowles and Brandon Banner. In another highly competitive ‘no prisoners taken’ fleet Brandon finished 26th, having scored an 8th in one race, and Lorcan finished 59th having scored a 1st in a race.
Well done to you all. Keep up the great work and results.
