Use of the Club Fevas
The club Fevas can be used for free during club training, as all the club boats are. In addition we are introducing the facility for club members to use the boats to start sailing after training or take kids out on the water themselves.
Fevas are suitable for an adult to sail
single handed, two kids to take out together or an adult to go out with a child. They are simple to rig and the boats are stored in between the Solos adjacent to the training building.
This is club property and we expect you to treat the boats like they are your own, please note this facility will be withdrawn if boats are not looked after. The following information should help everyone enjoy this opportunity.
- Book your Feva in the notebook in the “office area” by the entrance door.
- When you come to use it, pay the fee into an envelope and post the envelope into the box.
- All the equipment is in the boat except for the sails which are stored on the wall in the lock-up adjacent to the boat shed east of the clubhouse. All the rest of the kit is in the boat.
- Rig the boat and enjoy your sailing!! Do not use the spinnaker unless you are familiar with how to use it and ask for help if you are not sure how to rig the boat.
- At the end of the session return the sails to the lock-up and ensure the cover is secured firmly onto the boat, log any faults or repairs needed in the notebook.
We are keen to maintain the standard of the club boats so there will be a levy of: £10 for a weekend day; £5 for an evening or ½ day. These fees are payable into the honesty box as above.
