Sailing is a great sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family together. Why not come along to our Open Day on Saturday 12th May and find out more.
Have a FREE trial sail with one of our instructors or just watch the kids have a go. We aim to let everyone who wants to, have a sail.
Just bring along a pair of soft shoes like trainers and a change of clothes and towel. Maybe a waterproof if the weather isn’t too nice.
Buoyancy aids will be provided free of charge by the club
The Galley will be open all day serving hot food and snacks. Hot drinks and Juice will be available free of charge all day or Enjoy a drink in our licensed bar whilst you watch the family go for a sail.
Join the club and learn to sail
We will have discounted memberships on offer on the day. To include FREE Sailing lessons up to RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing) 1 and Level 2 (Basic Sailing Skills), these courses can cost up to £175 each to attend.
Both Adult and Junior courses will be available to start shortly after the Open Day.
There will be lots of information available on the day.
In the morning there will be an adult improver session going on for people that have learned to sail with us in the last couple of years
Club racing can be watched from 2:00 pm with someone on hand to explain whats going on.
Some of our juniors will have short races close to the club house, showing off their skills.
On the shore we will have a junior boat rigged up where the children can have a go and learn some basic skills.
There will be face paints for the children too
A wide range of club members boats and some of the club’s hire boats will be on display.
Come and check us out, It doesn’t cost as much as you might think.
Most people will tell you how their first boat cost less than £500.
You don’t even have to buy a boat, you could learn to sail and then possibly crew for someone in their boat or hire a club boat until you are ready to buy your own
