Ho Ho Ho. IOCA Optimist Training at LLSC

Nine optimist sailors braved the rain and cold at Leigh and Lowton sailing club for the second IOCA winter training session. Chris Barnes was the RYA qualified instructor. Leigh and Lowton Sailors Had a Blast at the 1st Northern Feva Open Training Event

20 Sailors battled snow, ice, 40 knot winds and freezing temperatures at Yorkshire Dales sailing club at Grimwith Reservoir for the 1st Northern feva training weekend. The weekend started with great excitement and a briefing on teamwork and fitness from Head coach Dave Hivey. Junior Training in Snow and Ice. North Optimist Racing

A dozen brave juniors took part in the NW IOCA optimist training on Saturday in steady winds as part of the junior winter training program.   North Optimists sailors joined in with the Tipsy Icicle series. A message from our Sailing Manager

To all powerboat coxes, following the recent incident in Padstow and the amount of damage currently impacting the club boats we are running additional sessions of the one-minute rescue to remind us all of our duties and responsibilities in running the rescue boats at the club.
