PUBLIC OPEN DAY. Saturday 16th May

Sailing is a great sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family together. Why not come along to our Open Day on Saturday 16th May 10:30 to 15:30 and find out more. Have a trial sail with one of our instructors or just watch the kids have a go.

We aim to let everyone who wants to, have a sail.

  • Just bring along a pair of soft shoes like trainers and a change of clothes.
  • Maybe a waterproof if the weather isn’t too clever.
  • Buoyancy aids will be provided by the club
  • The Galley will be open all day serving hot food and snacks.
  • Hot drinks and Juice will be available free of charge all day
  • Or Enjoy a drink in our licensed bar whilst you watch the family go for a sail.

Join the club and learn to sail. We will have introductory membership offers on the day

  • Once you are a member, we can book you onto one of our sailing courses.
  • Sailing lessons in club boats are free to members with just a nominal fee to cover wear and tear on the boats
  • Adult and junior courses will be available to start shortly after the Open Day.

Whats On ?

  • There will be lots of information available on the day.
  • In the morning there will be an adult improver session going on for people that have learned to sail with us in the last couple of years
  • Club racing can be watched from 2:00 pm with someone on hand to explain
  • Our juniors will have short races close to the club house, showing off their skills.
  • On the shore we will have a junior boat rigged up where the children can have a go and learn some basic skills.
  • A wide range of boats club members boats will be on display.

Most people will tell you how their first boat cost less than £500.

You don’t even have to buy a boat, you could learn to sail and then possibly crew for someone in their boat.
